Summary: "The Kingdom of Mustang is located at the northern end of the Kali Ghandaki Valley, the world’s deepest gorge which, at it’s southern end lies between the spectacular peaks of the Niligiri Range (7,055m – 7,134m) and Dhaulagiri (8,167m). At an average altitude of 4,000m the Kingdom is geologically and culturally part of the Tibetan Plateau and has an arid and dry landscape with colorful rock formations containing thousands of long abandoned cave dwellings.
Trekking groups were first allowed into this restricted area in 1992 with the government charging for special area permits. In recent years, only about 1,000 visitors reach Lo Manthang, the capital and this has resulted in the Tibetan culture being largely undisturbed. The trekking routes were used by salt caravans crossing from Tibet into Nepal and settlements are few and far between. Mustang became an independent kingdom in 1380 and the current royal family can trace their lineage back to this date.
This area has long been inhabited by Tibetan Buddhists and no where else in Nepal can such rich , untouched culture be found. Trekkers are not common here which is why this trek provides such a rare and up close look at a society that has remained unaffected by change for centuries. Unfortunately there is a high price to pay have such an experience. Permits are seven hundred dollars per person for 10 days and 910$ for 13 days. The starting and ending point for all treks in Mustang is Jomsom which can only be reached by plane. Trekking in Mustang is truly one of the rarest and most rewarding experience in all Nepal.

Manaslu Trekking
Summary: Manaslu round Trekking route leads ahead Budi Gandaki River valley, which is fed by innumerable rivers and waterfalls, offering the chance of a plunge into some bathing pools. From here, the strenuous section begins and yaks begin to out number people in the rocky landscape. In Samagoan (3450m) we visit the glacial green lake of Birendra, before crossing into mystic Samdo, a mere 15km from the Tibetan border. Here Tibetan monks inhabit sacred monasteries and combined with the views of the Tibetan plateau against stark white Himalayas this is a truly spiritual place. The biggest challenge then awaits - crossing the snow bound Larkya La pass (5213m). Snow-covered peaks over 6500m towers above as we cross. The descent, once off the snow, takes us through alpine then tropical areas, bursting with ferns, bamboo, pine trees, waterfalls and aqua-blue green lakes laced with cotton-white beaches. Finally, Manaslu will disappear as we descend to Beshishar (832m.) This 3week excursion will leave you with a sense of peace and respect for the people of Nepal and its ecological wonders.
The route crosses rivers, villages, forest and glacier. After Larkya La enters into Annapurna. However, we have to take two weeks permit for round Manaslu area trekking. The Manaslu Round/Circuit Trekking offers a perfect combination of rich culture heritage, unsurpassed Himalayan beauty, and a rich mountain biological diversity.
