Summary:
Jumla to Rara Lake trekking is one of the best destinations in western Nepal .This area is surrounded by Rara National park. It is the largest lake in Nepal surrounded by Rara National Park. Trekking in Rara Lake provides excellent exploration opportunities to Napal’s finest Rara National park and famous Rara Lake situated at an altitude of 2,990 meter. The route is well off the beaten track and affords glimpses of culture and scenery very different from other parts of Nepal. The trek offers a dramatic display of clear high altitude lakes mingled with pine, spruce and juniper forests as well as breath taking views of the snow capped Himalayan peaks.
This Lake is as deep as 167 meters in some places, and drains into the river Mugu Karnali via Nijar Khola. The Rara National Park is the home of endangered red panda, common langur (Black n white monkey), and rhesus macaque. Rhododendron, juniper, oak, spruce and Cyprus are the rich vegetations of this area. Rara trekking area is an adequate habitat for rare and endangered wildlife. Itinerary:
Day 01 : Arrival to Kathmandu and Transfer to Hotel.
Day 02 : Sightseeing around kathamndu valley.
Day 03 : Kathmandu to Nepalgunj by flight and over night in Hotel.
Day 04 : Nepalgunja to Jumla by flight.
Day 05 : Jumla - Danphe Lagna (3130m).
Day 06 : Danphe Lagna - Chautha (2770m).
Day 07 : Chautha - Dhotu (2400m).
Day 08 : Dhotu - Rara Lake (3062m).
Day 09 : Rest in Rara Lake (Excursions around the Lake).
Day 10 : Rara Lake - Gorosingha (3000m).
Day 11 : Gorosingha - Sinja (2440m).
Day 12 : sinja - Jaljala Chaur (2900m).
Day 13 : Jaljala Chaur - Jumla.
Day 14 : Jumla - Nepalgunj – Kathamndu by flight
Day 15 : Free day in Kathmandu/shopping Day.
Day 16 : Transfer to International Airport and fly home.
