Everest View/ Namche Trek

Summary:  Follows the classic Everest expedition route through hill village where the scenery and way of life is typical of most of rural Nepal. Lost of climbing as the route crosses several ridges separated by deep river valleys. An excellent trek that offers a chance to acclimatize before heading to Everest Base Camp or Gokyo.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel

Day 2: Sight Seeing in Kathmandu Valley and Prepare for Trekking

Pashupatinath Temple-Boudhabnath Stupa-Swoyambhunath-Patan Durbar Square 

Day 3: Kathmandu – Jiri -Shivalaya By Bus 1950m. 9hrs.(204km.)   

Day 4: Bhandar 2150m. 5hrs.(900m-1scent, 600m-descent)

Trail leads through the local settelments and trees, river and monastery 

Day 5: Sete 2520m. 6hrs.(650m-descent, 1050m-ascent)

The trail decends through the lower fields to Kinga Village, a settelments inhabited by Newars and Magars, sttepy climb up to sete.  

Day 6: Junbesi 2580. 6/7hrs.(1280m-ascent, 1220m-descent)

Fairly gradual climb up to Lamjura Pass 3530m. through the pine and Rhododendrun forest. Lamjura is the highest point between jiri and Namche. afterthat trek down to Junbesi, monastery and sherpa settelments.   

Day 7: Nuntala 2220m. 6hrs.(900m-ascent, 1250m-descent)

Stepple uphills in the trees with the views of Everest-Thamserku-Kantega-Kusum kangru-Mera peak from Khurtang 2900m. Dudh Koshi River views.  

Day 8: Bupsa 2360m. 5/6hrs.(800m-descent, 900m. ascent)

Sherpa agricultural opportunities due to the gentler climate in Dudh koshi Valley, monastery.   

Day 9: Phakding 2610m. 6hrs.(650m-descent, 900m. ascent)  

Day 10: Namche Bazaar 3400m. 6hrs.(1000m-ascent, 200m-descent)   

Day 11: Namche Bazaar Acclimatization

Sight Seeing: Namche Gompa, Sherpa Museum, Syangboche(highest airport in the world),Everest view hotel Hike. Tibetan market, (Internet-shooping-postal) Mountain views: Everest-Lhotse-Nuptse-Lhotse Shar-Ama Damlum--Kantega-Thamserku-Kusum kangru-Kwangde-Khumbila-Tawache. 

Day 12: Trek to Lukla 2800m.6/7 hrs.(950m-descent, 250m-ascent)

All the way walk down to lukla, Interestng Airport views, Local busy market,last day Party..  

Day 13: Lukla – Kathmandu By Flight 25 minute. Transfer to Hotel.

Day 14: Extra Day in Kathmandu (Farewell Dinner)

Day 15: Departure
